JKC was founded in 2004 by James J. Kubik: "I am an Information Technology professional with over 25 years of experience. I provide IT consulting which consists of; on-line systems administration, application systems support (AWS, Yardi Property Management Platform...), network design and administration, and websites/web applications."
"Prior to founding JKC, I gained varied experience working at manufacturers of communication equipment in San Diego, CA., military contracting and service in the United States military."
At OMM, Inc. (Optical Micro-Machines, Inc., a technology start-up in San Diego, CA): I joined OMM as the Director of Information Technologies. I gained vast knowledge designing/installing high speed, ultra reliable networks in a 150,000 SF; class 100 clean room manufacturing facility, and office center, with over 1500 nodes and 500 employees. I also planned, designed and implemented a corporate data center to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility and over 100 research and development engineers and associated test systems. I developed excellent organizational and cost efficiency skills while I managed and executed the implementation of an Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Applications System with a 5 million dollar budget*.

At Simpact, Inc.: I joined Simpact as their Technical Support lead, and over a period of 5 years, was promoted to Director of Information Systems. I managed a team of IT professionals and was technical lead on all projects. I managed hardware and software projects including a redesigned corporate LAN, distributed computing environments, distributed file systems, network file systems, network security systems and disaster recovery systems. I designed, implemented, and supported software development systems for Simpact products supporting 20 software engineers and 100 test systems.
Prior to Simpact, Inc.: I furthered my experience and education working as a contractor for the U.S. Navy where I installed and supported GCOS MOD-400 and HVS2 (UNIX) operating systems on Honeywell/Bull DPS6 and DPS6000 hardware platforms. I installed Honeywell/Bull XNS LAN hardware, and software on all necessary communications devices and servers. I also; analyzed and solved software and user problems, managed and trained; system administrators, data base administrators and operations personnel.
Prior to contracting: I served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 1st Class, Data Systems Technician, now part of the ET rating. During my service I received a comprehensive education as an electronics/computer/network hardware technician. I was honorably discharged after serving an 8 year commitment.
